Who We Are
 The Tennessee Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is a state-wide organization comprised of public and private colleges and universities which have state approved programs for preparing teachers. It is a state affiliate of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.

TACTE responds to state and national issues and problems and is organized to provide responsible professional advice and direction to state and national educational and political leaders.

TACTE maintains close professional relationships with the State Board of Education, State Department of Education, Tennessee Association of School Supervisors and Administrators, Tennessee Education Association and Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents working collaboratively with each of these organizations as well as other P-16 and non-education constituents.

 TACTE's vision is to facilitate and support all persons involved in providing high quality, standards-based, teacher education processes. .
